In this 12 days Travel to Uganda tour, you will get to combine the African big 5 with the primates of the world in Uganda. The highlights of the tour being the mountain gorillas in their misty mountains of Bwindi and the chimpanzee in Kibale forest NP

BRIEF ITINERARY:

  • Day 1.- Arrival & transfer to Murchison falls NP.
  • Day 2.- Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
  • Day3. – Transfer to Kibale forest NP
  • Day4: – Chimpanzee trekking & transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
  • Day5: – Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise & evening kyambura community walk
  • Day6: – Transfer to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP for afternoon safari.
  • Day7: – Morning Game drive & transfer to Bwindi, evening batwa community walk
  • Day8: – Gorilla trekking & transfer to Lake bunyonyi
  • Day9: – Free day at Lake Bunyonyi
  • Day10: – Transfer to lake Mburo – evening game drive

Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1. TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NP FOR AN EVENING SAFARI VIA ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY FOR RHINO TREKKING

    You will meet your guide driver at the airport for your 12 days travel to Uganda tour, you set off from Entebbe for your journey to Murchison Falls NP.  You will have a stop over by Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will go for a safari walk with the rhinos after the walk, have lunch in the sanctuary, Then you continue with the journey to Murchison Falls national park for an evening safari.

  • Day 2. MORNING GAME DRIVE, AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE & HIKE TO THE TOP OF THE FALLS

    You will  have a cup of coffee or Tea for warm up, then head out to the park for an early morning safari, you will have chances of seeing Big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes and more bird species. Have breakfast in the park and after breakfast, continue with the safari. After the safari, you will have lunch as we prepare for a boat cruise.

    Then in the afternoon go for the 3 hour boat ride to the base of the falls where you get to see the Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks.  Hike to the top of the falls after  transfer to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3. Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park

    Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge and drive to Kibale Forest NP, the journey goes through small African village set ups.  you will have lunch en route in Fort portal town and continue as you will evidently have great views of the Rwenzori ranges. Thereafter check in at your lodge. In the afternoon, you will then go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland which is home to various birds and primate species and later return to your lodge.

  • Day 4. CHIMPANZEE HABITUATION EXPERIENCE & TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

    In this 12 days travel to Uganda tour, you will head into the forest of the Primate City of Kibale in the morning for chimpanzee Habituation experience. you will be given 4 hours to be with the chimpanzee as we observe them on their way of living, eating….. After the trek your guide picks you and head to Queen Elizabeth NP.

  • Day 5. MORNING GAME DRIVE & AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL

    You will  have a cup of coffee or Tea for warm up, then head out to the park for an early morning safari, you will have chances of seeing Big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes and more bird species. Have breakfast in the park and after breakfast, continue with the safari. After the safari, you will have lunch as we prepare for a boat cruise.

    Then in the afternoon go for a 2 hour boat cruise on kazinga channel where you get to see the Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks.

    Then go for a village walk in kyambura with a hike to the top of the twin lakes.

  • Day 6. VISIT LIGHTS OF KAZINGA ORPHANAGE & TRANSFER TO ISHASHA SECTOR OF QUEEN ELIZABETH NP

    After breakfast, we take a visit to the orphanage, here we get to interact with the orphans and the local people, some clients have been able to carry along school materials, clothes, shoes to donate to these kids and to the locals.

    some clients have participated in adopting kids through paying for them school fees  which is around 50$ per semester.

    After the orphanage visit, we make a transfer to Ishasha sector of queen Elizabeth NP for an afternoon safari in search of the tree lions and other wildlife.

  • Day 7. MORNING GAME DRIVE & TRANSFER TO BWINDI FOREST NP - EVENING BATWA COMMUNITY WALK

    Have breakfast and then go back for safari, here we have more chances of trying on the tree lions incase we missed them yesterday. After the safari, we transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest NP with an evening Batwa community walk.

  • Day 8. GORILLA TREKKING & TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI

    The main highlight of this 12 days travel to Uganda tour is today. After breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point where you will be briefed about the gorilla trekking rules. You will then be given a gorilla family to trek, only 8 people are allowed to trek one gorilla family per day. Head into the beautiful jungle for the magical gorilla trekking, you will be given 1 hour to observe these closet cousins and after, you your guide will ick you and transfer to lake Bunyonyi.

  • Day 9. FREE DAY AT LAKE BUNYONYI - LIST OF OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

    Have a free day to relax by beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. There is a short list of optional activities: canoeing, swimming (safe in this lake), hiking along the lake-shores, return to the hotel and relax / canoe ride along Lake Bunyonyi with small resident and exotic bird species singing.

  • Day 10. TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK - EVENING GAME DRIVE

    After breakfast leave the beautiful lake behind and make the journey to Lake Mburo national park via Mbarara City, We continue aiming to reach the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon we head in to the park for a game drive, have a view of zebras, topis, warthogs, giraffes, cape buffaloes, Elands and impalas. If we are lucky we catch a sight of a leopard.

  • Day 11. MORNING SAFARI WALK BY THE LODGE & TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE

    On this day after break fast, we take on a safari walk with chances to see zebras, waterbucks, pumbas, birds and buffaloes, after the walk, we start our journey towards Entebbe. On our way, we stop at the Equator for lunch and a picture moment as we continue towards Entebbe, we check in at the lodge in Entebbe for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 12. SHOEBILL TRACKING IN MABAMBA SWAMP & TRANSFER TO AIRPORT FOR FLIGHT

    Today we come to the end of our 12 days travel to Uganda tour, Depending on your flight time, you could decide to do a shoe-bill tracking tour in mabamba swamp to see this special bird, this activity is not included in the price. after the tour, you will be taken to the Airport by your safari guide.

  • Every trip a client confirms with us, he or she has directly supported an orphan since we take 10$ from our sales directly to the orphanage we support.
  • we support LIGHTS OF KAZINGA ORPHANAGEIts an orphanage deep in kyambura village just at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park and we normally take our clients to the orphanage to have an interaction with these disadvantaged children, you could even participate to take part in some activities such as pedal sew, weave baskets, dance, sing and drum.
  • You can support an orphan more if you buy some of crafts these kids produce them selves, Tshirts and other things.
  • you can also decide to sponsor a child to go to school and by doing this, you will have given a good life to the the child for the rest of his/her life.
  • The money that we get is used to directly support these orphans by paying school fees, buying scholastic materials, food, building a home for them.
