Tour Highlights

Go for gorilla trekking in the misty mountains. Get a bonus by spending the 2nd night by the edge of Queen Elizabeth NP (chance for elephants & more).You will experience the highlight of meeting the mountain gorillas of Uganda. During your gorilla trekking you will walk through the beautiful jungle and spend one hour with the gorillas of the misty mountains. After the trek you leave the impenetrable forest to spend the second night by the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park, with the chance of seeing elephants along the way.

Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Meet your guide and start off early from Entebbe/Kampala for your gorilla trekking adventure (arrive to Entebbe early in the morning or add an extra night to arrive the day before). Be prepared for a long day in the car. Along the way you will make a stop by the equator for some photos and have lunch in Masaka or Mbarara depending on the time. Continue on to Bwindi Mountain Gorillas through the neck of the impenetrable forest. Overnight in Gorilla mist camp.

  • Day 2: Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. Have an early breakfast before setting off for your gorilla trekking adventure with a specialized guide. Besides the gorillas this Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and duikers. Enjoy the walk through the forest and spend one hour around the gorillas. After the gorilla trek your guide picks you and depending on the time you are back from trekking you get started on the trip back to Kampala cutting the time of the journey for tomorrow. The aim is to spend the night at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park, with an exciting drive there with chance of seeing baboons and other monkeys along the way as well as a the chance of spotting elephants from the lodge.

    Overnight at Topi lodge Ishasha

  • Day 3: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe

    After breakfast you set off towards Kampala. Have lunch along the way. Get back to Kampala/Entebbe in the late afternoon/evening. If flying out this day plan for a late evening departure.
