Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival day at Entebbe international airport

    Arrive at Entebbe international airport during the day/evening and be met by our safari representative / guide to start your Uganda safari. You will be taken to the hotel to rest after the flight and be ready for the adventures starting the next day.

  • Day 2: Transfer to the crater lakes area by Fort Portal – Evening guided nature walk Top of the world!

    After breakfast transfer towards the crater lakes area by Fort Portal. It’s a long drive with our target to have lunch at the lodge as the distance was cut yesterday the pressure and fatigue is lessened. A punctuation of stopovers at sceneries like the typical African village setup in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive offer us chances of stretching. We check in afternoon to an area with an amazing display of lovely scenery. Afterwards, we shall have a guided nature walk to the top of the world. On a clear day, you can see the Rwenzori mountain ranges and the surrounding crater lakes.

  • Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland walk

    With an early breakfast, head into the forest of the Primate City of Kibale in the morning for chimpanzee trekking. This is a three-hour experience. As an option you can upgrade to participating in Chimpanzee habituation, where you get to follow the chimps for the whole day, a truly exclusive experience (this is an optional activity that is not included in the stated price. Inform us when booking if you wish to do the habituation). Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. Here you have the chance to see the chimps close up and capture shots of our closet cousins in the jungle in their frenzy exciting moods as they are grooming, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food, plus rare bird species following them. In the forest 9 different species of Monkeys are found so you have chances of seeing red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies on a great day. After the trek your guide picks you and takes you back to the lodge. Relax for lunch and in the afternoon Bigodi nature walk.

  • Day 4: Explore the crater lakes area and Evening boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth national park

    Crater exploration with a walk to crater lake, if you are lucky you might see different species of Monkeys, such as red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies. More in the forest canopy colored aviation creatures-butterflies various bird species like the native Great blue Turaco, joyful greenbul, olive long tailed cuckoo, the superb black bee eater. Then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Option to drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges (Longest in Africa) in view or drive through the Crater lakes in the Hills through to sample out the surprising diversity of Savannah trees and wildlife! In the late evening, we shall take on a boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel that links lake Edward and George. Look out for the hippos, elephants, buffaloes without forgetting the Nile crockdile and many water birds like the pied kingfisher, fish eagle among others. Head and check in at your lodge and retire the day.

  • Day 5: Full day Game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park including Ishasha sector famous for the tree climbing lions.

    Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning with an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals. Possibility to see Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. Continue the drive towards the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth (Ishasha sector) very famous for the tree climbing lions.

  • Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest with a game drive in Ishasha's tree-climbing lions

    We will drive off in the adventurous vast savannah of the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth NP with Topis, the southern version of Elephants and hopefully with the lions high in the Fig tree branches. This is one of two areas in Africa where lions have the habit of regularly climbing trees to take a rest. Transfer on to Bwindi mountain gorillas through a beautiful drive taking you from the savanna via cultivated hills to the jungle covered mountains of Bwindi. (If we reach early we can do the walk and mix with the locals or relax with the Orphans group performers) Overnight accommodation – Buhoma community Rest camp / Broadbill Forest camp

  • Day 7: Mountain Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

    Have an early breakfast surrounded and overlooking the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. We have reached a highlight of the safari as you will go gorilla trekking in a group with a specialized guide, walk through the fascinating jungle and spend one hour with the Mountain Gorillas. This Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest Elephants, Statungas and Duikers. After the gorilla trek we drive through the neck of the forest via rolling hills cultivated with tea plantations and rainy forest as transfer to beautiful Lake Bunyonyi mostly known as the Switzerland of Africa due to her stunning beauty and endless views of her hills. In the evening we check in to a lake at 1840m above sea level. Here you can relax after the trek and even take a swim if it’s not too cold for you (the lake is free from bilharzia, hippos and crocodiles).     Accommodation –  Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort

  • Day 8: - Transfer to Lake Mburo national park – Afternoon game drive.” The Zebra Paradise of Uganda”

    With breakfast at leisure, we cross the lake with a speed boat or motorized canoe to the main land as we wave goodbye to the stunning Lake of many birds. We continue our drive towards Lake Mburo national park. We reach the park in time for lunch at the lodge. (you can decide to have a short swim at the lodge to cool off the body) In the afternoon we game-drive for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and Impalas.  Accommodation – Rwakobo rock lodge

  • Day 9: - Early morning safari walk with zebras in Lake Mburo NP and transfer to Entebbe or Kampala

    Start the day early with a safari walk getting you close to nature. A walk with zebras, warthogs, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in their day break jungle life. After the safari walk you have breakfast at the lodge before setting of for Entebbe as we have reached the end of amazing 9 days Uganda safari. We reach Entebbe in the afternoon and you can arrange for an evening flight or add a night in Entebbe to fly the next day
