TOUR ITINERARY

• Day 1. ARRIVAL TO UGANDA AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT & TRANSFER TO GUEST HOUSE .

  Your safari guide will pick you from Entebbe airport for the start of your 15 days gorilla trekking & safari in Uganda. You will be taken to the guest home in Entebbe to relax after the flight and be ready for an early take off the next day. Depending on your arrival time, you would decide to do some activities around Entebbe such as shoe-bill trekking in mabamba swamp, visiting Entebbe Botanical gardens, Entebbe Zoo, Ngamba island for chimpanzee feeding. (Note these activities are optional and not included in the price).

  OVER NIGHT AT DREAMJET COTTAGES ENTEBBE.
• Day 2. TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK - AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE.

  Start early from Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park, the zebra center for our second day of the 15 days gorilla trekking safari in Uganda, We get stop over along the way and photo possess especially at the Equator monument and continue the drive towards Lake Mburo National Park and drive to the open Savannah with mostly acacia and shrubs, as we game drive drive in a view of zebras, impalas, warthogs, topis. Check in the lodge for lunch, after lunch a bit of relaxation and later we get set for the evening safari.

  OVERNIGHT AT EAGLES NEST LODGE.

• Day 3. MORNING SAFARI WALK BY THE LODGE & TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI

  We start the day break with a warm up of a cup of coffee, then get ready for the walk at the edge of the park. we have chances of spotting the local people milking and we could also participate, then we continue with the walk with great views of zebras, impalas, buffaloes, pumbas and the ankole long horned cattle. after the walk, we return to the lodge for breakfast and after breakfast, we hit the road towards lake bunyonyi.

  OVER NIGHT AT BUNYONYI ECO RESORT

• Day 4. RELAXED MORNING AND EVENING TRANSFER TO BWINDI FOREST NP.

  Enjoy full day relaxation on the island with a variety of optional activities such as swimming, hiking, ziplining on the lake, canoeing and boat cruise to other historical  islands, you could even decide to take a longer boat trip to see the batwa people. Have lunch and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest NP

  OVER NIGHT AT BUHOMA COMMUNITY CAMP

• Day 5. MORNING GORILLA TREKKING & EVENING BATWA COMMUNITY WALK .

  The highlight of the 15 days gorilla trekking safari is today, take on the magical mountain gorillas in their misty mountains. After breakfast, your guide will pick you from the hotel and take you to the starting point of gorilla trekking, you will be briefed about what to do and not to do while with the gorillas. You will be allowed an hour with the gorillas and after the trek, you will find your guide and transfer you back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, prepare for the batwa cultural experience.

  OVER NIGHT AT BUHOMA COMMUNITY CAMP

• Day 6. TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NP - ISHASHA SECTOR FOR TREE CLIMBING LIONS - AFTERNOON SAFARI.

  After breakfast, we head to Queen Elizabeth NP the southern sector (ishasha sector) that is famous for the tree climbing lions. we check-in at the lodge, have lunch and after lunch we get ready for an afternoon safari in search of the tree lions and other wildlife such as elephants, pumbas, topis, monkeys, baboons, Uganda kobs, buffaloes. after the safari, we go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

  OVER NIGHT AT TOPI LODGE

• Day 7. MORNING GAME DRIVE, VISIT LIGHTS OF KAZINGA ORPHANAGE, EVENING COMMUNITY WALK & TWIN LAKES HIKE.

  We break the day with a morning game drive as we proceed to visit the orphanage home inside Queen Elizabeth NP. we could contribute to the orphanage with possible items such as shoes, clothes, pens, books… after the visit, we continue to the lodge and relax as we prepare for the evening community walk and we get to know how people live here. we will be going through some plantations such as coffee plantation, banana plantation, cotton plantation, cocoa plantation and we end the walk with a hike to the twin lakes.

  OVER NIGHT AT PUMBA SAFARI COTTAGES 

• Day 8. MORNING SAFARI IN KASENYI SECTOR AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL.

  After an early breakfast, have a morning game drive to see the nocturnal predators as well as the early morning risers like lions, buffaloes, antelope species, leopards, water-bucks, elephants, hippos and warthogs. For birders, Queen Elizabeth is a paradise for birders hosting a diversity of migratory and also Albertine Rift Endemics. you will return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch, get ready for an afternoon boat cruise on kazinga channel, with close views of the hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, and many birds here.

  OVER NIGHT AT PUMBA SAFARI COTTAGES

• Day 9. MORNING TRANSFER TO KIBALE AREA VIA CRATERS & AFTERNOON CHIMPANZEE TREKKING.

  After breakfast, we head to kibale NP, we shall pass by the Equator and have pictures and at this point we leave Queen Elizabeth NP. The drive takes us through some plantations such us coffee plantations, banana plantations. we then enter the crater lakes area and chances of spotting some monkeys and some birds. check in at the lodge for an early lunch and after lunch, we get ready for afternoon chimpanzee trekking in kibale NP.

  OVER NIGHT AT ISUNGA LODGE

• Day 10. TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NP.

  We start the day with an early breakfast, we then get ready for a long day drive. the drive will take you through tea plantations, African village set ups. on the way, we shall have some stop overs for fruits, bush toilet and lunch. after lunch, we proceed with the drive. we enter the park and chances of spotting wildlife are high.

  OVER NIGHT AT HORNBILL BUSH LODGE

• Day 11. MORNING SAFARI, AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE & HIKE TOP OF THE FALLS.

  A day to explore Murchison falls NP. this being the largest in Uganda. it has got a wide variety of animals and combining this park and ziwa rhino sanctuary, you target to spot the African big5. After a morning game drive, we get ready for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls and after the boat cruise, drive back to the lodge for an overnight.

  OVER NIGHT AT HORNBILL BUSH LODGE

• Day 12. TRANSFER TO JINJA VIA ZIWA SANCTUARY FOR RHINO TREKKING.

  We start the day with a game drive through the park and we could use this chance to spot the cats in case we missed them yesterday. after the drive, we start the drive to Jinja city the source of the Nile. on the way, we shall stop at ziwa rhino sanctuary where they are working to re-introduce the rhinos after their extinction in Uganda. you will trek the rhinos for one hour and after that, we proceed to jinja.

  OVER NIGHT AT KINGFISHER RESORT

• Day 13. OPTIONAL WHITE WATER RAFTING & EVENING BOAT CRUISE TO THE SOURCE OF THE NILE.

  On this day, you could decide to take on white water rafting on the mighty Nile, it take almost 6 hours on the water, your guide here will take you through briefing on what to do if its your first time to do this. after the activity, we drive back to the lodge and in the evening, we get ready for an evening boat cruise to the source of the nile as we capture the sun set.

  OVER NIGHT AT KINGFISHER RESORT

• Day 14. TRANSFER TO KAMPALA AFTERNOON BODA BODA TOUR AROUND KAMPALA CAPITAL CITY.

  On this day, we drive towards central part of Uganda where the capital city Kampala is located. we take on the city tour with boda bodas from one hill of Kampala to the next as we get to learn on how the city came into existence. After the tour, we dive to the hotel for an overnight and dinner.

  OVER NIGHT AT CASIA LODGE

• Day 15. TRANSFER TO AIRPORT FOR FLIGHT BACK HOME.

  We come to an end of this amazing 15 days gorilla trekking & safari in Uganda. your guide will pick you from the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.

• Every trip a client confirms with us, he or she has directly supported an orphan since we take 10$ from our sales directly to the orphanage we support.
• we support LIGHTS OF KAZINGA ORPHANAGE. Its an orphanage deep in kyambura village just at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park and we normally take our clients to the orphanage to have an interaction with these disadvantaged children, you could even participate to take part in some activities such as pedal sew, weave baskets, dance, sing and drum.
• You can support an orphan more if you buy some of crafts these kids produce them selves, Tshirts and other things.
• you can also decide to sponsor a child to go to school and by doing this, you will have given a good life to the the child for the rest of his/her life.
• The money that we get is used to directly support these orphans by paying school fees, buying scholastic materials, food, building a home for them.
