Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Uganda Welcome Experience

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide and transferred to your hotel. After a short safari briefing, take time to relax and recover from your journey while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of Entebbe, located on the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake.

Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, or simply unwind at your hotel before your safari begins.

This marks the start of your unforgettable adventure through Uganda, where you’ll experience incredible wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and warm local hospitality.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Top of the Falls

After an early breakfast, depart from Entebbe and begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest national park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting guided rhino trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced rangers, track southern white rhinos on foot and learn about Uganda’s successful rhino conservation program.

After lunch, continue your scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, visit the spectacular Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty River Nile is forced through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters into the Devil’s Cauldron. Enjoy breathtaking views, the thunderous roar of the falls, and excellent photography opportunities.

Later, proceed to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Safari and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Rise early for a thrilling morning game drive across the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park, one of the best wildlife-viewing areas in Uganda. Accompanied by your experienced guide, search for lions, leopards, elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, oribis, hyenas, and a variety of antelope species. The park is also home to over 550 bird species, making it a paradise for bird lovers.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation before lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat safari along the Victoria Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Cruise past large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and an incredible variety of water birds while enjoying spectacular views of the river. The highlight is reaching the base of the powerful falls, where the Nile crashes through a narrow gorge, creating one of Africa’s most impressive natural wonders.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park – Primate Capital of Africa

After breakfast, depart from Murchison Falls National Park and enjoy a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, widely known as the Primate Capital of Africa. The journey takes you through the breathtaking Albertine Rift Valley, passing traditional villages, lush tea plantations, rolling hills, and picturesque countryside, offering excellent opportunities to experience Uganda’s stunning landscapes and rural life.

Arrive in the Kibale Forest region in the late afternoon and check in to your lodge. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the peaceful rainforest surroundings in preparation for your chimpanzee trekking adventure the following day.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Experience

After an early breakfast, head to the Kibale National Park visitor center for a briefing before embarking on an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking adventure. Accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers, venture into the tropical rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzees. Once located, spend one hour observing these fascinating primates as they feed, groom, communicate, and play in their natural habitat. Kibale is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and 13 species of primates, making it one of Africa’s premier primate destinations.

After lunch, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk through its rich wetland ecosystem. Managed by the local community, Bigodi is renowned for its incredible biodiversity, including monkeys, colorful birds, butterflies, and unique plant species. The walk also offers an opportunity to learn about local conservation efforts and community-based tourism initiatives.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided morning nature walk through the scenic Ndali–Kasenda Crater Lakes region, one of Uganda’s most beautiful landscapes. Surrounded by lush forests, tea plantations, and volcanic crater lakes, this walk offers breathtaking viewpoints, excellent bird watching, and spectacular photography opportunities.

After the walk, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savannah national park. Enjoy a scenic drive through the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains and arrive in time for lunch.

In the late afternoon, visit the local community in Kyambura for an authentic village walk. Meet local residents and learn about their daily lives, traditional farming practices, coffee cultivation, and cultural heritage. Continue with a guided hike to the Twin Lakes Viewpoint, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views overlooking the beautiful crater lakes and the vast landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Wildlife Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Wake up early for an exciting morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Accompanied by your experienced guide, search for the park’s incredible wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, hyenas, waterbucks, and, if you’re lucky, the elusive leopard. The early morning hours provide the best opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and some time to relax before lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat safari along the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. This is one of Uganda’s best wildlife viewing experiences, offering close-up encounters with large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and an incredible variety of water birds along the shoreline.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, depart from Queen Elizabeth National Park and journey south through the famous Ishasha Sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive through this remote wilderness as you search for these unique lions, often seen resting in the branches of large fig trees, along with elephants, buffaloes, topis, and other wildlife.

After your game drive, continue through the scenic countryside to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Along the way, admire the rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and picturesque villages of southwestern Uganda.

Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon and relax while enjoying the peaceful rainforest surroundings in preparation for your unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure the following day.

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Gorilla Trekking Adventure

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before setting off on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure.

Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, hike through the ancient rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek may take 2–8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you’ll spend a magical one hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, groom, play, and interact in their natural habitat—an experience widely regarded as one of the greatest wildlife encounters on Earth.

After receiving your gorilla trekking certificate, enjoy lunch before departing for the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Surrounded by rolling terraced hills and dotted with 29 scenic islands, the lake offers the perfect setting to relax after your trekking adventure.

Arrive at your lakeside lodge in the late afternoon and spend the evening unwinding while enjoying the spectacular views and tranquil atmosphere.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi & Return to Entebbe

Wake up to the peaceful beauty of Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s deepest and most scenic lakes. After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing morning at the lake. You may take an optional canoe ride, enjoy bird watching, or simply soak in the breathtaking views of the terraced hills and the lake’s 29 picturesque islands.

Later, begin your scenic journey back to Entebbe, traveling through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands and the rolling countryside of southwestern Uganda. Along the way, stop at the Uganda Equator for lunch, souvenir shopping, and memorable photographs before continuing to Entebbe.

Arrive in the late afternoon or evening and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda safari.
