7 Days Uganda Primate & Wildlife Safari

The 7 Days Uganda Primate & Wildlife Safari is an incredible adventure that combines gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, and classic African wildlife safaris. This journey takes you through some of the most spectacular destinations in Uganda including Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The tour offers opportunities to see mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and hundreds of bird species, making it one of the most popular Uganda safari packages.


Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you will be welcomed by your safari guide.

Depending on arrival time, you may visit the shores of Lake Victoria or explore Uganda Wildlife Education Centre.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda.

En route stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino tracking experience, giving you the chance to see one of Africa’s Big Five animals on foot.

Continue to the park and visit the top of Murchison Falls where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge creating the world’s most powerful waterfall.

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari

Start the day with an early morning wildlife game drive in the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park.

Wildlife commonly seen includes:

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls where you may see hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, travel southwest to Kibale National Park, often called the Primate Capital of the World.

The scenic drive passes through rural villages, tea plantations, and the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Bwindi

Early morning briefing before heading into the forest for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park.

Once the chimpanzees are located, visitors spend one hour observing them interacting, feeding, and moving through the forest.

After lunch, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by rangers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

The gorilla trekking adventure takes visitors through dense rainforest searching for a habituated gorilla family.

Once located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat 🦍.

This is considered one of the most powerful wildlife experiences in the world.

Day 7: Return to Entebbe

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Entebbe.
